The Vicksburg-Warren County Chamber of Commerce kicked off 2010 by honoring the Small and Large Businesses of the Year, Educators of the Year and Ambassador of the Year. Individuals representing the City of Vicksburg, Warren County, The Chamber of Commerce, Visitors Bureau, Economic Development Foundation/Port Commission, Main Street, Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation, Sheriff's Department, the Vicksburg Housing Authority and private businesses braved snow and cold weather in early February as they traveled to Washington DC to meet with MS elected officials and make requests for support on local projects.
