Excellence in Teaching Honored

Teachers are the key to the future and the Vicksburg Warren County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to support our educators.

For the past nineteen years, the Vicksburg Warren County Chamber of Commerce has been honoring an elementary and secondary educator of the year. One individual is chosen from each public or private school by their peers.

These teachers then complete a written summary and are interviewed by a panel of five judges. The judges grade the teachers in the areas of: Educational Issues, Philosophy of Teaching and Current Educational Trends. Excellent teachers are truly the key to the future for our young people and therefore, for our community.
